Your Forests – Your Say!

Do you use forests in the Mid Ulster District Council area for outdoor recreation? Do you have an opinion on how they could be developed in the future?

If you use forests to take part in activities such as walking, cycling, horse riding, canoeing, fishing and mountain biking, or adventure activities such as archery or orienteering, then your views are needed!

Two consultation events will be held in the coming weeks (details below) and members of the public are invited to attend and share views.

Tuesday 30th June, 7.00 - 8.00pm, Cookstown Leisure Centre

Thursday 2nd July, 7.00 - 8.00pm, Maghera Leisure Centre

Forests included in this public consultation will be:

  • Bann Woods North
  • Cookstown (Drumcairne)
  • Creggan
  • Davagh
  • Derrynoyd
  • Drum Manor
  • Iniscarn
  • Moydamlaght
  • Moyola
  • Pomeroy
  • Portglenone

Please note: extensive public consultation has previously taken place for Davagh Forest. As such, Davagh Forest will not be the focus of these meetings.
