Help Prevent the Spread of Ash Dieback


With cases of Ash Dieback now confirmed in several sites throughout Northern Ireland Northern Ireland Environment Agency are asking all those visiting woodland sites to be vigilant and take necessary precautions to help try and prevent the spread of this devastating tree disease.

The potential threat from this disease (caused by the fungus Chalara fraxinea) is very real and statutory notices have already been served requiring destruction of around 5,000 affected ash saplings.
