#DavaghNav Mountain Bike App has reached the National Finals of RTE Junior Dragons’ Den 2014

The IOS and Android App acts as a SatNav guide for bikers around the Davagh Forest Trails. The app will help new and existing users to navigate the many exciting trails and features throughout the Forest, providing audio guidance to routes, obstacles and progress. The App also provides essential trail maps and tourist information.

The coding of the App has been carried out by a team of three students from Cookstown High School named ‘GTracks’. Development work began in October following a pitch and proof of concept demonstration to four representatives from Cookstown District Council. Following this meeting the Council agreed to invest in the App for future use with the Davagh Forest mountain bike trails.

The App is in final stages of development with testing at Davagh due to take place within the next week. Full release of the App is still a number of weeks away but opportunities will exist for interested individuals to test early release versions in the very near future.

The team will pitch their app to a panel of Judges in Dublin on Saturday 25th January with the hope of qualifying for the Televised show in February.

Development progress will be released on Twitter @GTracks_CHS
